Three Wheel “AutoCycle” May Be a Commuter’s Dream
Elio Motors is planning to release a vehicle that may change the future of commuting. It is a three wheel vehicle that’s not really a motorcycle and not really a car. It’s a “hybrid” that will get up to 84 MPG on the highway and has a sticker price of $68oo. This two passenger vehicle is going to be marketed as a second or third option in a family’s garage, and with its smaller size and price, it just may fit in a lot of garages.
The Elio looks much different than what you’re used to seeing on the road. It is the length of a compact car, but is very narrow. And the third wheel in back will be turning heads at every light for a while until we get used to seeing the new vehicle. It is bare bones inside as well, but commuters won’t mind when they are getting the excellent gas mileage.
