Pros and Cons:

Pros
+ Good handling
+ Neck heater
+ Elegant design

Cons
– Small interior
– Complex controls
– Sacrifices some performance for luxury

Head-To-Head Competition:

The 2008 Audi TT Roadster includes a CD changer, AWD, and 20 more hp, but costs over $1,000 more, lacks side airbags, navigation, and traction control. The 2008 Cadillac XLR Convertible has a larger V8 with 90 more hp and a CD changer, but costs $35,000 more. For a bit over $2,000 more, you could move to a Porsche Boxster Convertible, with more power and better fuel economy, but you’d be missing out on some legroom.

What Others Are Saying:

“The car’s interior is elegant, with a dashboard that flows into the door panels and an instrument panel that sports large, chronograph-style gauges. As with all Mercedes-Benzes, there are many buttons and knobs that can seem overwhelming at first.” – Forbes

“Going from closed to open is a treat for the technically curious. With the press of a button various panels and hinges move to pack the hardtop neatly away. If weather turns cool, heated seats and an “AirScarf” of warm air keep occupants comfy, even at highway speeds. Keeping cozy was never more fun.”Road and Travel

“The new SLK looks like it means business, thanks to an aggressive stance, bulging wheelwells, and an SLR McLaren-inspired F1 nose. And it takes care of business with a new, all-aluminum V-6 engine pumping 268 horsepower.”Motor Trend
