+ Good fuel economy
+ Great crash test scores

Cons
– No V8
– AWD not standard
– Unknown reliability

Head-To-Head Competition:

The Honda Pilot costs about the same, and includes third-row seating and standard navigation, but lacks a six-speed. The MKX costs $800 less than the GMC Envoy Denali, and features a standard CD changer, six-speed transmission, and side airbags. But the Envoy has a larger V8. The MKX compares very closely to the 2008 Buick Enclave CXL. The MKX has a CD changer, while the Enclave has OnStar and its assorted features.

What Others Are Saying:

“Lincoln’s new MKX seems poised to outshine the slow-selling Aviator it replaces and to hold up better against considerable competition in the midsize SUV segment.”Forbes

” Lincoln’s version of the Ford Edge, the MKX, is a handsome, five-passenger unit-body SUV that boasts nearly car-like ride and handling. Propelled by Ford’s new V-6 engine and coupled to a six-speed automatic, the MKX returns more than decent fuel economy.”Car and Driver

“The feeling was luxurious but not too soft or imprecise. Particular attention was paid to interior quietness with much success. These heated and reclining rear seats fold with the spring-assisted release creating 68.7-cubic-feet of volume back there. Throughout the interior we feel pampered and relaxed. Lots of room for everyone and as much stuff as they want to bring along.” –The Auto Channel
