The Lexus IS series was first introduced in 1998. It served as the entry level luxury sedan of Lexus, slotting below the midsized Lexus ES. The Lexus IS was also sold as the Toyota Altezza in Japan until the introduction of the second generation Lexus IS launched in 2005. The Lexus IS has a 2.5-liter V6 engine with 204 horsepower.
