2007 Ford E-Series Wagon Review

2007 Ford E-Series Wagon Review The E-Series is a line of full-size cargo and passenger vans which debuted in 1961. Originally called the Econoline, it was renamed to the E-Series in 2001. Able to tow up to 20,000 pounds, it’s the most capable work van on the market, and has been the best selling van in the U.S. since 1980.

The BuyingAdvice Team Says:

The Ford E-Series Van is popular for a reason: It offers a lot of cargo space for a reasonable price. Sure, you can get more with a Sprinter, but you’ll also pay dearly for it. It’s mature, dependable, and doesn’t get in the way. For a work vehicle, it’s tough to beat.

What’s New For 2008:

The E-Series has been overhauled for 2008 with a strong chassis and a new exterior look. Steering has been improved and cargo capacity has increased. The brakes have also been upgraded. E-Guard is a new feature that helps keep cargo secure.

Head-To-Head Competition:

What Others Are Saying:

“Based on Ford’s F-series pickup chassis, these vans have been the full-size gold standard for decades, and continue to be so. Offered in commercial van and wagon editions, they’re tough haulers that can serve a wide range of duties-from small moving van to 15-passenger bus.”Car and Driver

“Ford’s Econoline van is better suited for church-mission trips, day-care services, and tool-toting tradesmen than as daily transportation. Minivans such as the Honda Odyssey can comfortable carry up to eight passengers and feature all the creature comforts and safety features expected of a modern conveyance.”Automobile Magazine

“Not only is this van packed with plenty of room, but it is also capable of towing a lot of weight, so that you don’t have to decide what to take and what to leave. You have all the options. This vehicle has long been considered one of the most dependable in the class of full sized vans, so it is a great choice for someone looking for a cargo van that they can beat up and still rely on. For a little extra, you can also add the diesel engine for extra power.”TrustMyMechanic.com
